Skin Conditions
So today i've finally got my new shiny Macbook, so what better way to end the evening than with a blog?! Now where were we on the blog line of things?.... oh yes of course it time to talk about skin conditions.
Sensitive Skin - This can be due to environmental factors or it could be hereditary. Sensitivity happens on the skin due to the protective barrier of the skin becoming impaired leaving the skin prone to irritants. Breaking down of the skins protective layer can be caused by the use of soap, use of alcohol based products or over exfoliation.
characteristics of this skin condition:
Easily reactive to topically applied products, heat or touch Itching, stinging or burning Skin turning pink or red easily Skin feeling generally delicate
Dehydrated Skin- When the upper layers of the skin lack in moisture and water dehydration occurs. Any skin type can experience dehydration it is more prone to a dry skin type. Many factors can cause dehydration in the skin such as diet, smoking, alcohol, medication, use of soap, alcohol based toner, excessive exfoliation, air-condition, sun beds or central heating to name a few.

Tight and uncomfortable feeling Surface fine lines Rough feeling texture May look dull
Pigmentation of the Skin- Pigmentation of the skin occurs due to the pigmentation cells in the skin start to produce too much pigment, this can be triggered to a number of factors; Sun exposure, medication, hormones, subbed, consistent irritation of the skin etc.
Some typical symptoms of pigmented skin are: Darker colour than the “normal” skin colour May vary from dark pink to black depending on the “normal” skin colour Skin may be thickened, dull and rough in texture, especially as a result of excessive UV exposure
