Hospital Trip

Yesterday was another trip to the hospital to see how my ulna shortening operation is healing. Well so far it isn't. For those that don't know a year in January i had 2 ganglions removed and my nerve removed from my right wrist, after years of pain. The operation was successful but roll on 3 months after the operation and the pain began again. Once the ganglions had been removed my bones were able to move back in to place.... all good IF you didn't have a bone 3mm too long.

My surgeon says my radius bone has been compressed supposedly from a fall when i was younger causing the ulna to grow slightly longer. 4 weeks ago i finally had my operation to have it shortened and a plate put in. Unfortunately it hasn't started to knit back together but i have also been told its very early days for this type of operation. On the bright side i got to have a new cast on. After being bored of the pink cast I've opted for a blue, to then realise..... My nails totally don't match the cast, lol.

So hopefully when i go back to the hospital in 2 weeks time i may have better news but for now it seems i will be doing my Scratch Star competition in a cast and pain...... well lets face it i do like a challenge.

xx
